Cosmic collage came into fruition out of Lori’s need to support herself and her 2 children. The visions of the artwork began to come through to her during plant medicine ceremonies which she started working with in 2013. She calls cosmic collage a window into another dimension. The artwork is intended to provoke a connection between mystical realms, the cosmos and earth. The essences and energy of the visual medicine reminds us that we are part of the cosmos. She referred to the work as visual medicine due to the deep levels and of healing that took place within her own life during the years she published works under the name cosmic collage. The idea that we can take something and create something new, something beautiful and enchanting, colorful and vibrant is directly related to alchemy and the alchemy of emotions. The artwork itself is charged with the energy of her own emotions and even more so, the collective consciousness as she channels the collective through her work.
